These family photos taken in Fayetteville, NC are a fave session of mine! We visited Smith Lake for this session, which is a location with beautiful pines, open fields, and a lake. We only used a couple of the spots that could have been used. It’s full of amazing options for photos and I’ll definitely be back.

Eric and Rosie + their kids are great friends of mine and my husband’s. We spend a lot of time together down here in Fayetteville. You may not know before reading this that Derek and I are in North Carolina because he is stationed at Fort Bragg. When moving down to North Carolina from Minnesota, we were so lucky to have some connections before we even arrived. Eric and Rosie welcomed Derek immediately when he arrived before we got married. Since we’ve been married they have been there for us the entire time. As well, their children are so much fun to be around. They keep us quite entertained! Overall, I’d say we all got lucky to know of each other before Derek was stationed here. Most military families and spouses will know how hard it is to make friends within the community.

It’s always extra special to me to photograph my friends.
