This family session in Raleigh, NC was a blast. Samantha reached out looking for family photos and I immediately wanted to do these for them. Her family is gorgeous!! They had fun ideas for some Christmas-themed photographs that they wanted, so of course, we did those. I’m always open to ideas that my clients want to incorporate into their sessions, I love making photos represent YOU! Their kids are so adorable.

I had a conversation with their little girl as we were walking around Dorothea Dix Park. She told me all about her friends and their parents. One of their dads was a firefighter and the other was in the Army. She was so shocked when I told her that my dad is a volunteer firefighter and my husband is in the Army, it was so funny! I love talking with children at shoots, they say the best things. And, their poor little guy hurt his arm before the session 🙁 I felt so bad for him. He is just so cute!

Dorothea Dix Park is at the university in Raleigh, NC. It’s an amazing location for photos. We had so many options to choose from and they wanted a bit of the skyline in the background of their family portraits.
